From the first shot of House Show, you’re immersed in the sights, sounds, mood, and music of an idealized underground scene. As you bounce from bedrooms to the bathroom, back-porch smoke spot to a dank basement stage, it almost feels like you’re the one introducing an uninitiated friend to house-show culture. Director Price Robideaux brings an obvious passion for the form to give audiences a candid glimpse into the dynamic world of DIY concerts — familiar and nostalgic for the old heads, while intriguing and unforgettable for the new.
